FastenerThe fastener is a system used for close a garment. The brooch consists of two pieces of plastic or metal placed each on one side. The most simple are formed by one piece that is inserted in the other in a way they fit together. For attach them to the garment they are sewn by hand or riveted. Those riveted consist of four pieces that fit two to two. The fasteners can be seen seen or hidden when the garment is fasten up.
Material with which the brooch is made
It is usually made of plastic or metal. Those of color can be of different colors. The metallic ones can be made in different finishes that change their appearance.
The measurement is given by the width and length of each piece.

Covered Hooks & Eyes
It is used inside the waistband of pants and skirts, being hidden from the outside of the garment. It is sewn by hand or riveted. It is a type of closure that is very resistant to stress.
The buckle is used to join the two ends of a belt. Its design is very assorted. Some fix the other end of the belt with a pick, others are made to slide (sliding buckle). They can be finished or they can be lined with fabric.
The eyelet is a small metal ring with an opening of around 6mm. that pierces the fabric and through which a ribbon or cord is inserted. The eyelet adds a design detail to the garment. It is fixed by rivet.
Place the piece that has the barb on the edge that overlaps the inside of the garment and the other on the opposite edge. Make four or five stitches in each of the bracket holes. The fixing stitches can not pass trougth the right of the garment.
The hook can be used both in garments that close edge with edge and in pieces that overlap one over the other. Place the piece of the hook on the right side, in the case of women's clothing and on the left side in the case of men's clothing and the curved loop on the opposite side. Both pieces are placed inside the garment. The loop is placed just on the edge or slightly out. The hook will be placed completely inside or slightly moved towards the inside, in the same proportion as the clip has been placed towards the outside. Each piece will be fixed by stitching the two rings of each piece. The stitch can be stitched or if we want a better finish to make festoon stitches. To reinforce your grip, stitches will be added on the sides of the clip and on the neck of the hook.
In the case where the garment is closed by mounting one side on the other the hook will be placed on the side that overlaps the edge of the same by the inside of the garment and the flat loop on the outside of the opposite side at the point of assembly.
In the case of the seen button, the male piece is placed on the side that overlaps the fabric from the outside to the inside of the garment and the female piece on the opposite side. The position of both pieces will be in the center of the crossing. The system to fix the pieces is by means of pressure using a riveter. The area where the button is riveted must be reinforced with interlining.
In the case of the hidden button, the male part is placed on the side that overlaps inside without crossing the fabric towards the outside and the female part on the opposite side on the outside. The hook is placed inside the side of the garment that mounts touching the edge. On the other side, the clip will be placed on the outside at the mounting point. To fix the pieces make four to five stitches in each of the holes of the same. The fixing stitches can not pass to the right of the garment.
